Mehrab Sohrab Kordeanjeraki, the visionary businessman behind Al Zaydan Textiles & Readymade Garments, has been a driving force in the textile recycling industry. Recognizing the growing importance of environmental sustainability, he dedicated over a decade to understanding the intricacies of recycling textiles and garments. His commitment to persuading collection companies across Europe and North America to prioritize recycling over landfill disposal showcases his passion for environmental stewardship.
In 2004, Mehrab took a significant step towards providing better service to his customers by establishing Al Zaydan Textiles & Readymade Garments in Sharjah, U.A.E. This strategic move allowed for faster access to customers in the Middle East, aligning the business more closely with their needs. Over the next five years, he tirelessly expanded the customer base to include Africa and diversified operations in other Middle Eastern countries.
In response to the challenges posed by rising costs in the traditional market, Mehrab Sohrab Kordeanjeraki demonstrated his foresight by establishing Green Line Textiles & Garments in 2009. This subsidiary, situated in Al Jurf Industrial Area, Ajman, specializes in sorting and grading mixed rags of European and North American origin. The factory, designed with African customers in mind, has played a pivotal role in meeting specific criteria and demands, leading to an increase in demand from customers in East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, and the Middle East.
With the trust placed by customers seeking a differentiated product, the company expanded its reach to the South Korean market in 2011. The foray into South Korea was driven by the demand for high-quality mixed rags and sorted materials. The company actively sources quality products according to customer requirements across Korea, leveraging its expertise to secure the best-quality materials at affordable prices.
Looking ahead, Mehrab Sohrab Kordeanjeraki envisions the expansion of existing sorting facilities in the U.A.E. and the initiation of a supporting sorting facility in South Korea. This forward-thinking approach demonstrates his commitment to sustainable growth and meeting the evolving needs of customers globally.
